We have 2 regular events every week for students. On Sundays, Middle School meets at 9:15 AM and High School meets at 10:45 AM, both in the New Youth Building for YBF. Wednesdays we meet for Gateway in the New Youth Building (first MODULAR building, closest to the church building).

On Sunday mornings, Middle School meets for YBF at 9:15 AM and Worship at 10:45 AM. High School attends Worship at 9:15 AM, and YBF at 10:45 AM. YBF is a time where teens make 3 essential connections: They connect with each other, with an adult small group leader, and with GOD! This time of peer group worship is designed to give teens an opportunity to share with other students in similar situations.
Each Wednesday from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. you're invited to GATEWAY. Teens from all over McKinney come together for fun and fellowship. GATEWAY is designed to be a comfortable place for a teen to come to escape the daily grind of school! Check it out and see what everyone is talking about. Snack bar opens at 6:15 p.m.
Special Events play a vital role in our Ministry. Retreats, camps, parties, concerts, service projects and trips are just a few examples of the events that add energy and excitement to our Student Ministry. Check out our Pic Gallery of some recent special events!

Our Student Leadership team is a group of 8-12 students who have committed to taking the NEXT STEP in faith. We meet monthly to plan, organize and pray for the youth ministry. We also take one weekend a year to improve our leadership skills during a SALT RETREAT.
The SALT members have committed to:
Jesus Expected Leaders to Serve:
"Jesus called them (his disciples) together and said, '... Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as ransom for many.'" Matt. 20:25-28
Not only does Jesus shatter an existing leadership style (being in charge), but he lays out a prescription of a leader that reflects serving others. Serving others is how we define ministry. This type of servant-leadership is not attractive to most people. It goes in direct opposition to the attitude of running to the car to ride "shotgun" and being "first in line" to eat. But this type of servant standard we want reflected by our student leadership.
The Student Ministry at Crosspoint Church would not be what it is today without its Adult Volunteers! Each week adult volunteers at Crosspoint use their passion and heart for Jesus Christ to reach Jr. and Sr. high students.
Adult leaders use their skills, talents or simply their love for young people to teach on Sunday mornings, lead small groups, chaperone special events and work hard "behind the scenes" to keep the Student Ministry rockin!
If you are an adult looking for an experience where you can impact students' lives and also have your life impacted by the experience of serving a dynamic and exciting ministry - then keep reading...
Has God given you a desire to work with students? If you answered yes to all or any of these questions, then take the opportunity to stop into the youth department to see where your skills can be used! We are ALWAYS looking for adults who have a heart for teens and a heart for the Lord!

David is currently living in McKinney with his wife and daughter. His favorite activity is spending time with his wife and daughter. They enjoy all outdoor activites - camping, climbing, hiking, running and especially road cycling and mountain biking. When he is not ministering to students or spending time with his family, David can be found enjoying a Dallas Mavericks game! Go MAVS!
What do Air Heads, Xbox, middle-schoolers and [loud] music have in common? You'll find them all in the Student Ministry at Crosspoint. There's no place that makes learning the Truth more fun. Skeptical? Where else will you find:

Wednesday Nights - Middle School students have a chance to refuel in the middle of the week through passionate worship, great fellowship, and engaging teaching of God's Word. Each mid-week gathering seeks to incorporate a unique worship element in addition to music. Students all around McKinney are encouraged to come and hangout with other students.

Sunday Mornings - Come and ignite your passion for Christ as you encounter God through joining Middle School students in being stirred up to worship, walk, and study for Christ. Teens from across the McKinney suburbs come together to encourage and support each other on Sunday morning Bible Fellowship.
Special EventsThrough out the year students (and parents) have opportunities to get involved in many non-routine events such as local and national mission trips, discipleship adventures to Colorado, Youth Camp, leadership retreats, service opportunities with other Crosspoint ministries, and seasonal events. Come join in the fun!

Dear Parents,
One of the first things you probably want to know is what is the vision for the student ministry at Crosspoint Church. To say it in a few words, we want to help students HONOR God with their lives. Our strategy to help students achieve that has several components but can be summed up by CONNECT, GROW, SERVE, REACH and HONOR.
CONNECT Students with other Christians
We believe it is important for young Christians to get plenty of fellowship time with other like minded Christian teens and energetic adults. We offer many opportunities for teenagers to hang out, share, and make important new friendships.
GROW in their faith
We really want to see our students grow deeper in their relationship with God. Our Grow Strategy has 3 major components:
SERVE others
Our Serve strategy works like this: We have an adult leader and a student leadership team (SALT), who plan and publicize service opportunities. These leaders also recruit students to take part in serving others. Each year we try involve our youth in 2-5 service projects. Why do we do this?... Because God calls us to serve!
REACH Out to Students for Christ
Our Reach Strategy has several components. One is GATEWAY, our Wednesday Night outreach event. We encourage our students to reach out to their friends who may not know about Jesus Christ and invite them to Gateway. We also encourage our students to practice friendship evangelism.
Friendship evangelism has three parts:
HONOR God with their Lives
We call our student to live lives that honor God. We expect our students to live a life worthy of praise - whether they are at Church, school, or anywhere. This is a high expectation, but one that we believe every teenager to strive to achieve!
We have 2 events every week for students:
On Sundays, Students meet at 11:00 a.m. for our time of small group bible fellowship (YBF).
Also, each Wednesday from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. students are invited to Gateway. Gateway is our fun, theme-driven event, where we encourage our students to bring friends.
What do we teach? Through out the year we teach on Biblical principles regarding Authentic Faith, Spiritual Disciplines, Moral Boundaries, Healthy Friendships, Wise Choices, Ultimate Authority, and Putting Others First (to name a just a few).
I hope this short overview of our student ministry gives you an idea of what we're all about, and I encourage you to meet with me and/or other Youth parents if you have questions.
Blessings,
David
