Children enrolled in Crosspoint Clubhouse experience teaching of basic Christian values with a broad range of academics. We have a well-planned, teacher-written curriculum, with school-wide monthly themes, bible characters, art, dramatic play, music, science/nature, finger plays and group time. The daily schedule also includes playground time (weather permitting), and plenty of time to move about and expend that endless energy, as well as quiet activities. Our preschool classes utilize a variety of resources for spiritual and academic focus including but not limited to WeeLearn Curriculum and Frog Street Press.
Every teacher receives ongoing training in child development, safety, discipline, religion, CPR, First aide and creative teaching skills. We have a highly qualified preschool staff, one of the best in the area! Most of our preschool staff members are actually certified teachers, many with emphasis and experience in early childhood education. Obviously they bring with them a wealth of knowledge and resources.
During music class, the school's monthly themes are extended and the children learn songs, finger plays and creative body movements.
Art & SpanishOnce a week, students from ages 2 and up will receive an art and Spanish class. Students are instructed in the principals of art and basic Spanish language development.
For children age 3 (by 9/1) and older, Chapel is a special time for our preschoolers, in which they pray, sing and listen to God's Word.
About once a month, a special visitor is brought in to enhance Crosspoint Clubhouse's curriculum. These special visitors might include a fire truck and ambulance, police officers, a postal worker, a magician, a veterinarian, a pediatrician or a traveling farm.
We have planned many special event days throughout the year. These include an Easter egg hunt, Spring Program, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Program and a Pumpkin Patch.
